My 50 Things to Do!
A few weeks ago we covered a web site - wearewhatwedo.org - that gives you ideas of things you can do to help the world become a better place. We had a great response with most people liking the idea of sharing their bath!
I have found another site that gives you ideas of things you might want to do - not necessarily to make the world a better place - but maybe to make your world a better place or just for the sheer hell of it!
The site is aimed at all those people in the 'I must do that' brigade and it lists 50 things that you could do before you die. The suggestions all start off fairly well with such suggestions as: watch the sun set and rise; grow something - a tomato plant or a beanstalk - the choice is yours; go Scuba diving; and, then out of nowhere the suggestion is 'go naked'! The justification for this one is that we are the only animals on the earth to wear jeans and t-shirts. I am not entirely sure that I buy into this way of thinking but whatever floats your boat! If you are with me, there are 49 other ideas to choose from!
White water rafting; bungee jumping; zorbing... what on earth is zorbing!? I set out to find out and discovered that zorbing involves being strapped into a giant 3 metre PVC ball and launched on a 200 metre track. Apparently, it's an adrenaline rush. Let me know if it works out for you!
As well as reading about the top 50 suggestions of things you should do, you get the opportunity to make your own suggestions, make up your own lists with deadlines and you can find out who else wants to do the same things as you.
When you register, you can upload your details, where you are from, what you do, and a photo if you so wish. You can then find out who shares your goals, from driving a Formula One car to getting a mortgage!
There is also a Hall of Fame, reserved for those determined individuals who have succeeded in fulfilling every single on of their 50 aims. This page is currently empty so if you want to be first into the My50 Hall of Fame you better get started soon - some people are well on their way.
