An alternative approach to Valentine's...

Just been dumped? Not feeling the love? Let's face it, Valentine's Day isn't always all it's cracked up to be even when you're in love. If you're newly single it's probably a day you'd rather forget... or would you?
Some years ago, a friend of mine received a perfumed, coloured envelope on the morning of the 14th. He had recently been caught red-handed in the arms of another and was feeling rather sorry for himself as he lamented his foolishness. The wronged one was the girl of his dreams, the one that got away, the one. He recognised the hand writing. It was her. His hopes raised, he ripped open the envelope. May the bluebird of happiness... he opened the card... shit on your head!. When he showed me the card, I couldn't stop laughing (good friend!). He soon saw the funny side but unfortunately the story doesn't have a happy ending. She is still the one that got away. But she did it in style!
If you're in a similar boat then Web Watch has the site for you. Poisonpen.com has a card for every occasion. If you're in a new relationship, rather than sending the usual declarations of undying love or cheesey flirtations, how about sending a card with a big red heart on it. Inside it reads, You break it, you pay for it. Or, if you a getting over a lost romance, how about I think of you... whenever I step in dog-doo. Lastly, if you've recently experienced a fleeting romance that's gone awry, About the other night... big mistake!. Excellent.
Some of the examples are a little to strong for my taste but the strap line of the site reads 'sick cards for healthy people' and, in the main, the messages are lighthearted and funny. Just ignore the rest.
